Real Deal Still Has Openings for the Race on June 27-29 Near Vail CO

Real Deal teams launching onto the Colorado River at the 2007 race near Vail. The course is designed by Ian Adamson, the most successful adventure racer in the world.

Organizations devote tremendous time and resources to getting their employees to work together as a cohesive unit -- trusting, communicating, and relying on each other....strengthening that special phenomenon called "TEAM." Team building activities are the rage, but nothing can compare to the deep and lasting impact of a diverse team rising above individual talent , to achieve something extraordinary. This will be a great team-building experience.

The Real Deal is a unique multi-sport challenge that will truly test the stamina, endurance and grit of every team. Teams are comprised of five participants including at least two disabled members on the difficult two-day quest. Erik's team, sponsored by Lumber Liquidators, includes:

  • Jeff Evans -- who has summited more mountains with Erik than any other climber, and who was on Erik's Primal Quest team
  • Rob Harsh -- who captained Erik's Primal Quest team, and is an experienced adventure racer
  • Sarah Will -- a world-class downhill skier who took home two golds in the 2002 Winter Para-Olympics
  • Ben Witherell -- who works on our HighSights business team

Teams will raft the mighty Colorado, hike dramatic peaks, and bike through beautiful alpine meadows; then, after the day's activities, everyone will gather for catered barbeque meals and cold beers around a campfire next to the river. There is still time to sign up.
